Illustrations are cute enough。 However, it feels like it’s teaching kids to do things they’re not supposed to do。 It’s goading them to press the button。 So, one day there will be a red button that they really shouldn’t press, but because they read a cute book about no real consequences they’ll press the button and probably die。

Jasmine from How Useful It Is

Read for my toddler’s nap today。 This book is cute。 The bear said don’t push the button but couldn’t listen to his own advice and decided to push, once then twice then more and each time he push the button, he changed and multiply。 A bit of an interaction with readers。Read from kindle unlimited。

The first in a series of fun and interactive children's books, Cotter's Don't Push The Button encourages readers to play while they read。 Traditionally published in a board book (although, also available in paper back), Don't Push The Button challenges traditional views about reading by encouraging readers to play along with the book's main character- a purple figure with the impulse to push a very big, very mysterious red button。 As soon as readers push the button, they are taken on a journey t The first in a series of fun and interactive children's books, Cotter's Don't Push The Button encourages readers to play while they read。 Traditionally published in a board book (although, also available in paper back), Don't Push The Button challenges traditional views about reading by encouraging readers to play along with the book's main character- a purple figure with the impulse to push a very big, very mysterious red button。 As soon as readers push the button, they are taken on a journey that gets them moving, shaking, and giggling。 Highly recommended for ages 1-3。 。。。more

M loves this book, and she loves Larry。 She enjoys the interactive element, and since we've borrowed it from the library she has requested it numerous times。 She also loves the sequel, "Don't Touch This Book"。 Read at Age 2 M loves this book, and she loves Larry。 She enjoys the interactive element, and since we've borrowed it from the library she has requested it numerous times。 She also loves the sequel, "Don't Touch This Book"。 Read at Age 2 。。。more

Another one of Heather's recent favorites。 This book is interactive, with instructions like "push the button" or "scratch Larry's tummy。" Since Heather likes anything with motions, this book is a hit。 It's short and silly。 Five stars。- Heather's mom, 6/30/2021 Another one of Heather's recent favorites。 This book is interactive, with instructions like "push the button" or "scratch Larry's tummy。" Since Heather likes anything with motions, this book is a hit。 It's short and silly。 Five stars。- Heather's mom, 6/30/2021 。。。more

It is a very cute and interactive story about what happens when you push the button。 Each time you do something happens and then it has to get fixed。 My classroom laughed hysterically and begged for me to read it again。

A fun and friendly book that will have kids laughing all the way through。

This book is loved by the toddlers I care for and also got a good number of chuckles from my very much grown up husband。 After a few readings on the first day of this book being at the early childhood centre, I spotted an 18 month old trying to shake the characters out of other books。 Absolutely delightful。

Don't Push the Button! was a fun postmodern picture book。 Even though the title says not to, the interactive parts of the book encourages the reader to press a button。 As you read the book, you'll notice that the unintended consequences of pressing the button lead to even more button pressing and other amusing factors。 Don't Push the Button! was a fun postmodern picture book。 Even though the title says not to, the interactive parts of the book encourages the reader to press a button。 As you read the book, you'll notice that the unintended consequences of pressing the button lead to even more button pressing and other amusing factors。 。。。more

It's fascinating to see interactive fiction designed for such a young audience。 Cotter deftly gets inside the head of baby readers, skillfully utilizing reverse psychology to encourage them to follow through on a call to action more powerful than many nonfiction works can manage。 Major spoilers ahead! The button will be pushed。 You or your child may think you are living dangerously, but it's all part of Cotter's grand design。 It's fascinating to see interactive fiction designed for such a young audience。 Cotter deftly gets inside the head of baby readers, skillfully utilizing reverse psychology to encourage them to follow through on a call to action more powerful than many nonfiction works can manage。 Major spoilers ahead! I wish there was an actual button instead of just a picture, but overall a fun and interactive book。 Great material choice for a children's book, especial for the those children who insist on chewing or gumming a standard paperback book until it deteriorates to nothing more than pile of pulp。 I wish there was an actual button instead of just a picture, but overall a fun and interactive book。 Great material choice for a children's book, especial for the those children who insist on chewing or gumming a standard paperback book until it deteriorates to nothing more than pile of pulp。 。。。more
